CASEMATES

There are built two expositions in the cellars:The history of Uzhgorod castle and The casemates.

Exposition of the history of Uzhgorod castle consists of three models of Uzhgorod castle of different periods. They are:

• Wooden settlement
• Uzhgorod castle of the XVIIth century (it's prime)
• Uzhgorod castle of the XIXth century (seminary period)
  

Also one can see in this exposition the elements of medieval way of life.

The exposition "Casemates" consists of different instruments of tortures in inquisition times. To tell the truth most of these exhibits're modern copies but there are few original instruments of tortures and other exhibits,for example medieval castle keys. Any way no one'll stay indifferent here.
